Job Description / Responsibility

Job Context
This role manages the full sales function of a food factory. The core priority is achieving monthly sales targets and expanding the dealer network. The Sales Manager leads a team of sales officers selling food items to distributors, wholesalers, retailers, hotels, restaurants and cloud kitchens. They coordinate closely with production, quality, warehouse and logistics departments to match market demand with factory supply, manage credit and collections, and design market plans to recruit new dealers while retaining existing partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure the team strictly achieves monthly sales and collection targets, and drive initiatives to attract and onboard new dealers across assigned territories.
- Set territory-wise sales and collection goals, assign work, supervise, train and evaluate sales officers; conduct regular joint field visits.
- Identify potential dealers, negotiate trade terms, margins and credit policies, and sign dealer agreements to grow distribution coverage.
- Nurture relationships with key dealers, resolve major conflicts over product quality, delivery and payment issues.
- Forecast market demand and share sales projections with the production team for proper factory planning.
- Work with warehouse and logistics teams to monitor orders, stock availability and on-time delivery.
- Track outstanding receivables, follow up overdue payments and minimise bad debt risk.
- Study local market trends and competitor activities; develop trade promotions and dealer incentive schemes to pull more dealers.
- Plan new product launches and market activation activities to increase product off-take.
- Prepare regular sales MIS and performance reports for factory management.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing

Experience Requirements

5 to 10 years
