Job Description / Responsibility
- Supply Planning:
- Own and manage the end-to-end supply planning process based on approved demand and business requirements.
- Develop feasible supply plans considering production capacity, material availability, lead times, inventory targets and customer requirements.
- Identify supply constraints, capacity gaps, material risks and potential delivery risks.
- Develop recovery and mitigation plans for supply exceptions and constraints.
- Continuously optimize supply plans to balance service, inventory and operational efficiency.
- Material Planning & MRP:
- Own/coordinate material planning and MRP activities based on demand and production requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, packaging and other required materials.
- Review MRP outputs, planned orders, purchase requisitions and material requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Production and other stakeholders to address material shortages and excesses.
- Monitor supplier lead times, material availability and critical material risks.
- Ensure appropriate planning parameters such as lead time, MOQ, safety stock and reorder levels are maintained.
- Production Planning Support:
- Work closely with Production Planners to translate supply requirements into practical production plans.
- Provide material availability and capacity inputs for production planning.
- Identify production bottlenecks and constraints and support development of alternative scenarios.
- Coordinate production priorities based on customer requirements, material availability and business priorities.
- Support production plan adherence and identify deviations requiring corrective action.
- Inventory Planning & Optimization:
- Develop and maintain inventory plans aligned with business and service-level requirements.
- Monitor raw material, WIP and finished goods inventory levels.
- Identify slow-moving, excess, obsolete and shortage risks.
- Balance inventory availability with working-capital requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in inventory turns, service level and material availability.
